Under President Clark鈥檚 leadership, 91视频 has launched cutting edge programs in photonics and optical engineering and cybersecurity and has built the state鈥檚 most sophisticated cyber range. 91视频鈥檚 new Center for Artificial Intelligence fosters human-centered, equitable, and responsible AI use. The university is intensifying its partnerships with businesses to create more expansive and deeper pathways for students to enter the workforce.
The university continues to build upon its undergraduate research program, which is ranked among the leading programs in the country, and expand experiential learning opportunities for students through its study abroad, honors, and paid internship programs.

President Clark launched The Bridgewater Commitment in 2024, providing free tuition and mandatory fees for families earning $125,000 or less, and making 91视频 the most affordable four-year public university in the state. 91视频 has reduced student loan borrowing by nearly 10% since 2019.
President Clark served 91视频 in many capacities prior to assuming the presidency in July 2015, including as a member and chairman of the Board of Trustees, and executive vice president and vice president for External Affairs.
President Clark was recently elected to the board of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, representing the executives of the leading businesses and industries in the state, serves on the boards of the New England Board of Higher Education, Metro South Chamber of Commerce (past chair), the Light Foundation, and on the NCAA Division III Membership Committee.
President Clark worked for nearly 20 years as district director, legal counsel and Washington liaison officer for Congressman John Joseph Moakley.
President Clark graduated from Bridgewater State in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and received his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1986.
