Prerequisite: BIOL 225 with a minimum grade of 鈥淐-鈥 or consent of instructor Corequisite: BIOL 327L This course is an examination of the composition, structure, function and value of wetland ecosystems in North America. The course constitutes a comparative analysis of characteristic biota and adaptations, hydrological and geochemical processes, and conservation strategies of wetlands through lecture, discussion, field work and direct experimentation. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly. Offered alternate fall semesters.
