Prerequisite: Any two of the following courses: HIST 111, HIST 112, HIST 131, HIST 132, HIST 221, HIST 222; or consent of instructor This course explores the social and political history of Ireland from the late 18th century to the present. Particular attention will be given to events such as the Famine, the campaign for Home Rule, the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty and the "Troubles" in Northern Ireland.
