This course includes the study of biological energy systems, their interrelationships and adjustments during exercise and as a result of training and proper sport nutrition. All fundamental aspects of assessing an athlete’s basic fitness components and writing a physical conditioning program will be discussed using safe and correct program design to aid in injury prevention, recovery and mental well being. This course will include five hands-on practical laboratory experiences to gain further understanding of concepts covered throughout the course. Offered summer session.
