Prerequisite: ELED 344 and ELED 360 and ELED 375 Corequisite: ELED 414 and ELED 421 and ELED 451 This standards-based course will engage students in learning developmentally appropriate methods of teaching mathematics to a wide range of elementary learners. Students will create, critique and implement developmentally appropriate mathematics lessons and units, making mathematics accessible to all elementary learners. Students will be introduced to mathematics practices and they will learn to integrate technology and literacy strategies into their instruction. This course prioritizes equity-based, culturally responsive practices that are designed to reduce bias in teacher practice. Offered fall and spring semesters.
