Literacy educators are introduced to the subject matter that constitutes effective literacy instruction (3-12). They examine classroom evidenced-based practices consistent with major theories of learning and develop a knowledge base of literacy instruction in phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing and language that accelerate literacy learning and achievement. Offered fall and spring semesters. May not be audited.
