This course will help reading specialists grasp the ways literacy is used to create, disseminate and critique information in the various disciplines. This course includes an overview of the integration of reading and writing across the curriculum with an emphasis on instructional strategies used to prepare students with the skills necessary to read, comprehend and react to complex texts in the various disciplines.
